2026 Scholarship Winner

The 2026 Florida Keys SHRM Judy Hobbs Memorial Scholarship was recently awarded to graduating Key West High School senior Jesse Watland.

Scholarship Chair Julio J. Torrado presented Mr. Watland with a $1,000 scholarship during Class Night on Wednesday, May 27. He will be attending Santa Fa College later this summer before transferring to the University of Florida, and ultimately pursuing a degree in the business field. 

The Judy Hobbs Memorial Scholarship assists students pursuing a degree in the Human Resources or Business fields. Ms. Hobbs was a local entrepreneur and founding member of our organization. During her lifetime she was passionate about helping young people succeed. After her passing a scholarship was established in her honor.
